Back by popular demand: Poor Tom—Playing on Saturday March 28th at the
Grange Hall
Poor Tom is the meeting of two musical
worlds that have lots in common; Wanda Stride's Newfoundland roots and
Susan Luke's Virginia roots. Susan and Wanda have been playing together
since 2002, mining their classical backgrounds to create a fresh, lively
sound all their own. Ever-changing instrumentation and original folk
songs with a Celtic edge form the basis of their passion for sharing
stories and music.
The evening will begin with some local talent, some you saw at the last
show and some brand new to the scene. Once again we will honour Earth
Hour this evening by switching to candle-light – very romantic! The
evening will begin at 7pm at the Grange Hall in Lefroy, tickets are $10
